Corona
-
Tri-colored beagle
-
Sire:
Clark, AKC average or a bit taller
than average tri-color. Champion AKC bloodlines.
Dam: Sapphire,
Blue tri-colored AKC
-
Corona was so small
that we didn't feel comfortable letting anyone adopt her. At
exactly 6 weeks old, she weighed 1 lb, 12 oz, and was about half
the size of her littermates. However, her grandfather is one of
the smallest beagles we've ever had, so she might just be taking
after him. At maturity, she is now over 11" tall and weighs 16
lbs.

Corona's mother is a blue tri-colored beagle,
which is quite a rare color. Corona inherited a blue gene from
her mother, and can have blue puppies if bred to a male that
also has a blue gene. Otherwise, she will likely have all
tri-colored puppies if we breed her in the future (which will
depend upon her size and conformation at maturity). If she
inherited her father's red/lemon gene, she may also have
bi-colored puppies.
