CR Sassy Tide Chaser
It is hard to say anything about Sassy that doesn't fit into this broad
category: "She is a wonderful dog." She truly is, as she is beautiful and
gentle and smart. We have shown Sassy several times, and she has earned some
nearly-perfect marks.
We showed her when she was a year old, and she was a little light at the time.
But her structure was nice, and the judges recognized it. Her only mark off from
a perfect score under one judge was her head, as her eyebrows are a little
fleshy and I felt her ear could be about 1/4" longer. I needed to take pictures of my
daughters showing in their class, and told Sassy to "stay" at our seats. Sassy
sat on my chair for 10 minutes, unleashed with 80 dogs in the room, while I took
pictures. Unbelievable for a one-year-old beagle. She is quite a dog!
If Sassy is adopted, she would be best in a home where she is an only dog OR
where she would be fed separately. She is a fast eater, and must not have
competition with another dog for food, or she may cause trouble!
Sassy is spayed, but she needs to have surgery to repair a hernia that occurred
when she had her last litter. She ended up needing a c-section, which is why we
spayed her. I plan to have that corrective surgery done soon.
Sassy is not house trained.
Because she has always had a doggie door to go outside through when she needs
to, she is definitely trainable, though. There is a link to potty training an
adult dog at http://crbeagles.com/misc/potty_training.htm
